Karen Gillis Taylor is a painter of contemporary landscapes and other subjects inspired by her life and travels.

At Colorado State University, Karen valued her design studies with John Bonath, a photography instructor.

She also learned hands-on color theory while working as an illustrator/designer for a publisher of quilting magazines, Leman Publications.

Karen taught graphic design at Denver Institute of Technology and has a BFA (painting and graphic design) from Colorado State University.

She also has a BA in history and a teaching certificate in Art K-12 from the University of Colorado.

Karen lives with her family in Boulder County, Colorado.
